| This exercise is really helpful, for those who are new andd who are having a little trouble meditating. If you're on the road of spiritual development. Their are 3 main things you need to in order to progress. *Be patiant* *discipline* *dedication*
If you can do that then you're good. So yes, bato topic eh.
Step 1: find yourself a nimce space where you're able to relax yourself and you won't be disturbed what's so ever. It could be in nature, in your room, in the bath(alaria stated in another post). Put it this way, Their isn't a right way.
Step 2: Sit down, or lie down. Since you don't want to fall asleep, I would say sit down because its likely your mind is still going to be active. And you won't get to relaxed.
Step 3: tart taking a few deep breaths, become aware of your breathing, notice how it feels when you breath in, and notice the air when your breath out. Do that till you feel relaxed.
Step 4: DON'T worry about clearing your mind, your mind will gradually become clear once your focused on your intention. So, still focusing on your breath, start brrathing nautrally, still focusing, notice how you're sinking deeper, you're going more into a deep relaxation state. Notice any feelung you're getting.
Step 5: once you feel as if you're ready to come out of, start to bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings. Once you have done that, just istheir for a minute or to, relaxing. Don't get up straight away.
Congratulation. You've just meditated.
